Dulux Heritage Quick Dry Primer Undercoat - White - 750ml

Dulux Heritage Undercoat is water-based and quick drying. It provides excellent adhesion and superb coverage and is ideal for use with Dulux Heritage Eggshell on interior wood and metal surfaces, to help achieve a beautiful finish and lasting protection around the home.

For best results, make sure that the surface to be painted is sound, clean and dry and remove any loose or flaking materials before you begin.

• On previously painted surfaces rub down the surface ideally using the 'wet flatting' method which requires wet & dry sandpaper, used wet. The water acts as a lubricant and helps to reduce tiny particles which can clog the paper and create scratches
• Always ensure to thoroughly prepare surfaces that have been previously painted with solvent-based paints
• Bare and new wood any knots should be treated with an appropriate knot blocking solution. Holes or defects should also be filled with an appropriate filler prior to the use of the undercoat as this will create a smooth finish

We always recommend performing a test patch on the surface to ensure you are happy with the finished results.

• Stir thoroughly before use and apply with a good quality synthetic (nylon polyester) brush, microfibre roller, or spray, as preferred
• To get the best results with the Heritage Undercoat, lightly dampen both a synthetic brush and the surface
• Apply 1-2 coats of the undercoat as desired, allow to dry, and finish with two coats of Dulux Heritage Eggshell
• Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C, as recommended by British Standards BS 6150. Do not tightly close newly painted windows or doors until the paint is fully dry.
• Airless Spray: A typical recommendation for airless spray application is a minimum working pressure on paint of 138 bars (2000 lb/sq in) with a spray tip size of 0.43mm (17 thou) and a spray tip angle of 60°.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

Store and transport upright in a dry place away from extremes of temperature and frost

Q. Can Dulux Retail Weathershield Exterior Preservative Primer Plus be sprayed?

A. Yes, this product can be sprayed or applied by roller and brush. We would recommend the following when using a sprayer, Conventional Spray: Satisfactory through most types of conventional spray equipment. Airless Spray: A typical recommendation for airless spray application is a minimum working pressure on paint of 138 bars (2000 lb/sq in) with a spray tip size of 0.43mm (17 thou) and a spray tip angle of 60°.

Q. Does Dulux Retail Weathershield Exterior Preservative Primer Plus treat knots?

A. No you will require to treat any knots in wood with an appropriate knotting solution or stain blocker.

• Late Cut-Off: Get an extra hour to place your order for Next Working Day delivery.
  Orders placed on a working day before 4pm will be dispatched on the same day for Next Working Day delivery. 
  Orders placed before 4pm on Friday will be delivered on Monday (excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. All orders have a charge of £5.99 for Late Cut-Off delivery.

• Saturday Delivery: Get your order on Saturday
  Option available on Fridays. Orders placed on Friday before 3pm will be delivered on Saturday. All orders have a charge of £9.95 for Saturday delivery.

We do not deliver to the Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland

If you find a fault with your product, we can offer a full refund or exchange within 30 days. We test every product that is returned to us, sadly if a product is found to have no fault we cannot refund this and the you will be given the option to have this returned to you.
